Douglas Park Lawlor is a visual artist and short film director focused on dream imagery. Through illustration, Douglas explores dream concepts- often as abstraction- using deep texture, light, and space. With film, illustration, model-making, or whatever medium he is experimenting with at the time, Douglas aims to present a rich atmosphere. He achieves this by pouring himself into every project he produces and interacting with each component intimately.
Douglas was raised in Baltimore, MD and received a BFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He lived in Indonesia and Australia where he focused on street painting and the short film Midnight Ticket. He freelances as a creative director and photographer in Oakland, California.
